The host company is a small to medium sized organisation based in the English West Midlands. They have over 20 years experience, over which time they have developed a renowned reputation. Amongst the company's wide and varied products are included a range of electrical patio heating equipment, fitness systems and commercial tanning units. The host company were the originators of outdoor patio heating and are recognised as one of the world leaders in the sector.
They are committed to providing the highest level of quality and to the continual development of their services. At the same time the company is also dedicated to its corporate responsibility and takes seriously the minimisation of the effect its operations have on the environment.
The host organisation has good international links and supplies its products to over 50 different countries in all continents across the world.
The host company is looking for a student to help them to promote their services within France and Spain. The successful applicant will be responsible for raising and maintaining the company's profile in the country and for making approaches to clients and potential clients in their native language.
The placement will be a high standard and CV enhancing experience and the successful student applicant will have a responsible and important position within the team. The role will involve the following aspects:
Marketing. It is anticipated that the student will be able to offer valuable input into how to take a targeted approach to marketing within their native country, using their cultural knowledge and business skills as guidance.
Translation. This will be of marketing materials and web pages from English into French and Spanish.
Targeting potential clients via a variety of mediums, including, but not limited to email, internet, direct promotional activities, tele-sales.
Communicating with senior employees of client and potential client organisations in a bid to gain further custom for the host organisation.
To be successful in this role it is anticipated that the successful applicant will have some previous experience in a sales and marketing role and have a customer focused, results driven approach.
