The Host Company

The host company are a well established organisation based in Leicestershire.  They are involved in supplying printing substrates to print companies, including special materials for Large Format Printing.  The company was established in 1936 and is now recognised as one of the key players in the UK market. Orders are despatched from the warehouse located at the head office to customers in the UK and mainland Europe.  Operating in a competitive market, the company aims to stand out by maintaining high stock levels and an excellent service.  One of its high priority goals is to now develop a greater market share in France and Germany.

The Placement

The host company are looking for a student to help with the development of their international businesses.   They will have responsibility for a number of tasks including the following:

  • Main Task : Telemarketing/Telesales (100 calls+/day),
  • Intensive list cleaning projects and qualifying of prospects on database in France/Germany
  • Follow up calls, marketing calls to qualified prospects in France/Germany
  • Contacting existing French/German customers for repeat business etc.
  • Translating marketing documents/emails/letters etc.
  • Time and Task reporting
  • Some debt chasing calls
  • Target market research

The Ideal Student

  • Fluent French with advanced knowledge of English. Fluent German is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience of Telemarketing/Telesales
  • Good computer skills - ability to use CRM systems
  • Translation skills - (English - FR /DE and vice versa)
  • Ability to work on their own, using initiative
  • Confident communicator who is personable
