The Host Organisation is a hotel in the City of Derby. The hotel caters for both leisure and business guests. In addition to their high standard accommodation the hotel also boasts a prestigious restaurant and full conference facilities.

The host is an independent hotel, which prides itself on the friendly and customer focused attitude of its employees.

The hotel is situated within a short walking distance of Derby city centre, in the centre of England. Served by excellent transport links by road, rail and air this makes the hotel the perfect base from which to explore Derby and the Midlands region generally.

The Placement

The Host Organisation are looking for an intern to assist them in a sales and marketing focused role which will include the following responsibilities:

  • Promotion of the hotel in the local area
  • Development of sales in the food and beverage department
  • Support all proactive outbound sales activity to achieve departmental targets and forecasts
  • Management of social media activity including regular updates
  • Maintenance and management of the hotel website
  • Show business people around the conference facilities
  • Raising of the company profile
