The host company, is a specialist manufacturer and supplier of Technical Textiles supplying a wide range of industries like Aerospace, Healthcare and Defence/Military with specialist high performance textiles.

The host company is looking to develop its markets in Central Europe and Germany. The company's sales operation is conducted from Ilkeston, Derbyshire, in the English East Midlands Region, close to the thriving cities of Derby and Nottingham.

The Placement

The host company is looking for a student to join the Export Sales team to promote the company's goods in Central European markets.
The main responsibilities will include:

  • Market research for target markets
  • Sending Sales Literature and samples to target companies
  • Follow-up for contacts after literature has been sent
  • Preparation for a major exhibition/trade show
  • General office responsibilities such as answering the phone
  • Preparing despatch invoices and documentation for export customers
  • Preparing folders of company's Sales literature
