The Host Company

The host company is an AA rated international hotel located between Derby and Nottingham with 108 bedrooms. They also offer house to conferences for up to 250 people and have a restaurant, bar, and sporting facilities. It is a three star hotel with a professional and pleasant working environment.

The Placement

The host company are looking for a student who can assist their general manager with his tasks for two days a week. Activities would include updating and reviewing spreadsheets, forecasts, budget and marketing. For the other three days, the successful student will do the day to day businesses at the reception where they would be dealing with customers, day to day activities and answering the telephone.

The placement will be from Mondays to Fridays 8 hour days. When needed, the student can be asked to do weekend shifts as well, but this does not happen very often. On occasion weekend work may be necessary, with time off given in the week, therefore a flexible approach is required.
