Since 1996, the International centre of Derbyshire
Chamber has been involved in international student placements,
placing overseas undergraduates and graduates in local companies.
In 1999, Derbyshire Chamber & Business Link (then Southern Derbyshire Chamber) launched ISPO (International Student Placement
Office), a professional service that local companies can use
when they wish to benefit from hosting an overseas placement
student.
ISPO aims to aid the international development of UK businesses
through the appointment of international students for short-term
work experience placements. The projects given to students will
allow companies to develop new opportunities, solve existing
problems and improve important aspects of business performance.
ISPO has established partnerships with many European universities
and Educational Institutions and can successfully source international
students from varying disciplines. Through our experience and
our network of contacts, ISPO has enabled companies to come
one step closer to trading even more successfully at an international
level. |
